  6. Come on pick an upset...not just straight rankings...

    ReplyDelete
  7. ok. Hampton over NA. and Freedom over south fayette

  8. I don't think Hampton & Freedom winning would be big upsets. Now Ringgold over Hempfield, THAT would be big...wouldn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  9. yes. But I was also looking at that one as a possibility.

  10. SF over freedom would be considered an upset since they have freedom ranked 3rd (which is way to high) and sf is 9th.. That would be an upset based on there rankings.. Even though I don't see freedom as being the 3rd ranked team in the wpial..

  11. I don't know if I agree about those rankings, you hav the top two teams, and then everybody else. I would put Burrell over Freedom, but sf hasn't beaten anybody, and they are just like freedom, a few really good guys and a few really bad guys. it's a contest to see who gets thumped by 20 or more against ch, and that's all it is. but i dont see a big difference between any of the 3-10 teams. so its hard to think of either one winning as a big upset for me.

  12. SF would beat or atleast go with any of the teams outside the top 3-4 I see it jm ch and bentworth as top 3.. SF can go with any if not beat any of the others that's a fact..

  13. Not with Burrell no way,

    ReplyDelete
  14. I agree. Thats why I would consider freedom over sf an upset, regardless of their ranking. Sf has the potential to beat 3 - 10, just as I think jm and ch is a pickum, could go either way. I still think Hampton is good, I did not think butler would beat them.

  15. I meant I agree with 3:07 not 4:49

  16. I agree with wrestling watcher SF can most def do that anyone outside the top 3 maybe not Burrell but you never know it would be a good one but they will go with just about anyone that's for sure

  17. NA just beat Latrobe 51-12. But lost to #4 Mcdowell 28-25. A Hampton win would be an upset.

  18. OK, educated predictions with upsets.

    AAA
sec 1 would be an easy pick if cen cath was healthy, my upset pick is Latrobe. Frank Reg just isn't deep enough this year, but wait till you see them next year. sec 2is really up for grabs, my upset pick is Hempfield. sec 3 is not up for grabs, i can't see anyone beeting NA. P R is young and can make some noise, so they are my upset pick. Sorry, i don't see an upset in sec 4.
    AA
sec 1, tough to pick an upset in this section, but if i had to pick one, it would have to be SF. sec 2is full of good teams, none as good as JM, but Bentworth is a nice sleeper pick. In my opinion sec 3 is the best chance for an upset, so i am going with KO. Watta you say Joe. Lets hear your picks.

  19. To GutsLoyaltyAttitude, though it has been a long time since I've been in that wrestling room, shouldn't it be Loyalty, Attitude and Guts?

  20. belle vernon over WM, Mars over Richland, Derry over Bentworth, those I guess would be upsets. otherwise, straighht with the favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  21. kiski should win section 1 but no way will upset cm. I don't see ko winning, bentworth should beat derry. I am also waiting on Joe's picks.

  22. anon 8;05
Only if they sit out 5 starters.

  23. Besides Lesko, who else has transferred to JM?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I got updated rankings and team section tournament notes on wrestling report go check it out..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Brendon Howard is from Laurel Highlands.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It well known that Howards transfer is bogus. They never actualy moved. This goes on more than you think. Let's start cracking down on this bs.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well lets get it brought up to the higher people if its so much as bogus. If it is bogus he should not be allowed to wrestle for JM then.

    ReplyDelete
  28. his name is brendan howard ..l h dropped there program..i guess he should just quit wrestling then /

    ReplyDelete
  29. all these kids want to do is wrestle ...

    ReplyDelete
  30. Either crack down on it, or get rid of the rule. If you're going to get rid of the rule, crack down on it until you do. Selective enforcement is the most unfair of all options. If Howard lives in the LH school district, present your evidence, and let the chips fall where they may.

Back to wrestling: I don't see anyone over CM, and I'm far from sure that Kiski will end up top 3, but you have to admit they haven't been beaten and rarely have been challenged, and have a good schedule. So that's an interesting pick. Rinngold over Hempfield is an interesting one too, cause Ringgold does have some good guys, and Hempfield hasn't gotten hot yet. Hampton over NA, I don't know if it's a big upset, but I bet that will be one excellent match, if not the best we get on Wednesday.
