Big Macs winners

Joe Tuscano / O-R

Canon-McMillan head coach Chris Mary holds the trophy after the Big Macs captured a 35-20 victory over Erie McDowell in the finals of the PIAA Class AAA Team Tournament Saturday at the Giant Center in Hershey. It was the first title for the Big Macs in this tournament in the school's history.

  8. In all seriousness, wouldn't it be sweeter if Macri was from Hill Station, Wierchioch was once a Lil' Mac and Chitsko actually lived in Washington County? That would have been cool. None the less job well done.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Did anyone else notice the 160 pound "Ram" sitting high up in the stands above mat 3&4??? He looked awful interested in what the Big Mac's were doing especially during Wierchioch' dismantling of Forne... He looked like he may wanna be a Big Mac to... According to everyone we recruit right??? He can use my address lol

    ReplyDelete
  10. Chris Mary should hand that trophy directly to Wiercioch...Otherwise, they would have "just missed" again this year...He is the MVP...I say rename the team the "Big Wiercioch's".

    ReplyDelete
  11. Really who cares beside you8.-06pm ? they all go to CM and wrestle for the same . We don't care they're all Big Mac's . Central dauphin had 5 kids transfer in . Who cares .. State Champs baby!!!

  14. Pretty much everybody outside of Canonsburg and those who really get it care about kids transferring. 8:51
I strogly believe you and your ilk would rather be state champs and set high school wrestling back a few pegs then admitting this is foul from all schools involved. This has nothing to do with the kids. They are the ones doing the wrestling and they did a damn fine job of that. Once again hats off to the wrestlers. This is about dysfunctional parents, supporters, and administrators who evidently live vicariously through high school wrestlers "baby". Chances are you never wrestled and will never get it.... other then through someone else. BTW Chitsko is home schooled, doesn't live anywhere near CM and only spends his time in the CM Wrestling room.( which has done him well)

    ReplyDelete
  15. 9:09...speak on my man...

Can anyone confirm that Solomon Chitsko is home-schooled and lives no where near Canon-Mac?

    Shocking allegation if true...

Pray tell, where does he live?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Somewhere near Bushy Run Battlefield or he sleeps at Quest.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Get over the mole hunt people... Where do the kids get exposed 2 world class talent at ??? The tri-county tournament or the Virginia Duals????

    ReplyDelete
  18. 843, I also seen the 160 lb "RAM".. He was looking on when the Big Macs was wrestling.. Just doing a little homework.. Go Big Macs

    ReplyDelete
  19. Agreed. Don;t have as much of a problem with the rest of the transfers as I do with the Chishko debacle.

He doesn't even live in the same county as the school. At least the others moved there.

    ReplyDelete
  20. So let me get this straight...Chishko is home-schooled and doesn't even live in the county. Joe Tuscano is this true?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nope he lives in eighty four pa why don't you stop by his house and take it up with his father

    ReplyDelete
  22. Congratulations to Coach Mary and the Canon McMillan wrestling team. They have accomplished a very impressive goal, this will always be with them and cannot be taken away. This is for good reason, it did not come free, these kids obviously put in the work and were given their due reward.

However, one need not look very far to see that there is evidence of rule violations. Is it legal to recruit? No. Is there evidence of this at CM (AND CD)? Seems like a big yes. The PIAA either needs to get rid of the rules or enforce them as they were written. This is obviously not being done here.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I heard all the kids live on the moon and just come to practice on a space ship.. And there is a school up there called outer limits H.S. . And for all of you envious people that live in the twilight Zone , get a grip . CM STATE CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sure I'll go by to talk to Jim. What's the adress in eighty-four.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Call Hohman and ask him the details. I thought the dads name is Tom? World Class Talent at the Virginia Duals????Really...really?

    ReplyDelete
  26. From an out siders view ,I think all the hate and jealously has motivated this team to achieve their highest goal . Sometime's other people have a way with other's success and are to dumb to know it . From what iv'e read on here it seems to be true in this case . I just got to laugh at all the 5 year old mentality some of you haters have . So keep on with your little boy chatter, I know it only makes these guys better. LMAO !!Great job kids on all your success . You kids probably have achieved more in your young life than some of the want-to -be's on this blog. CM.STATE CHAMPS sounds good to me .

It's good to hear from you again! There are so very people that post here that have direct contact with any wrestler from CM I highly doubt any motivation for their was provided from this blog. As far as the mentality around here I would say that a five year old would be more apt to get a result by any means possible as opposed to following the rules or to be more presise, the intent of the rules. It has nothing to do with hate nor jealousy. Im happy for the coaches and the kids. They deserve it! It's the thousand other kids out there wont ever be able to experience the same thing if transferring for athletic intent continues. Coloring this with one color of crayon is probably more suited for a three year old. Does that make sense to you? BTW Did you wrestle at Monsignor Farrell on Staten? You talk a lot about being a man, have you ever stepped on a mat? If you didn't no big deal but quit pretending you understand any of this.

  28. Guess I will have to be the one to stir the pot how many medals is CM gonna win at individuals ?

    2 golds Schram-Wierchioch
    2 silver Klempay-Chisko
    1 bronze Machri
    2 place winners Cambell-Dobbin

    Thoughts ????

    ReplyDelete
  29. 4 champs
    2 3rds
    1 4th
    2 top 8

    ReplyDelete
  30. If the was a award for "most pumped" after a pin, Cambell would win everytime! That kids' reactions are the best !

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sorry, RAM 160, holding my rental home in CM for R. West! He would be another asset for CM. Great job wrestlers! And I agree, at individuals...it will be walls to the wall.....Congrats to the coaches, wrestlers, parents and fans.....may we all enjoy the success our boys have worked for.

    ReplyDelete
  32. To the person that asked if I ever stepped on a mat you ask . I stepped on plenty . That's what 3 years in prison will get you . You step with any one any time .And 11,37 you're killing me with your tears. Life ani't fair all the time and your kid will know this if you quit babying him.. So as far as kids knowing the rules ,HA , ha rules are broke everyday in life . I understand one rule in life . The golden rule , he who has the gold rules..

    ReplyDelete
  33. 1st- Klempay, Weirchioch, Schram
    2nd- Chisko
    3rd- Machri
    4th- Dobbin
    5th- Cambell

    ReplyDelete
  34. Godwin Nyama may have something to say at 120.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yeah that's gonna be an awesome match !!!!

  36. big DEGO FROM CANTON
After your admission of time spent incarcerated and your philosophical take on the "Golden Rule" your posts now make complete sense.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1st . Wiercioch, Schram,Chisko... [ Dobbin , Shorts,Klemplay, Cambell , Macri ] will metal..

    ReplyDelete
  38. Not chisko. No drive. Watched his match he didn't shoot. No offense.

    ReplyDelete
  39. schram will beat the kid from the city league godwin nyama by a solid major something like 13-4

    ReplyDelete
  40. I agree Chisko looked flat and stymied by the kid from Erie McDowell.... The first time all year he looked vulnerable...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Schram made a point during the team championship... the point being he can do whatev he wants whenever he wants to do it to an opponent... Does anyone know if he wrestles in freestyle tournaments?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love the way Schram showed the refs and everyone in the Giant Center how bad Central Daulphin was stalling... That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in a wrestling match in 25 years... Even Central Daulphin's coach had a smile on his face !

    ReplyDelete
  43. Can't wait for Nyama / Schram match.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Chisko will bounce back and be determined to mend his flaw. He's to good of a wrestler not too. Losing a match like that will do that to you..

    ReplyDelete
  45. Another good one will be klempay vs peck again.. I see the same result as a year ago klempay gasses out way to fast to have a shot after seeing that horrible performance against the whale he wrestled from McDowell only winning 4-0, any thoughts??

    ReplyDelete
  46. I was just looking at nation rankings and Klempay is 5th and Peck is 10th... 4 out of the top ten 285 guys our from PA... Klempay looked BAD against Blair's Brooks Black but that was the only time this year that his body language made him look worried... Klempay and Peck should go to Klempay IF that shoulder is really ok and he is not just hiding a injury

    ReplyDelete
  47. Klempay patented side mount and arm bar looked weak during the final especially during the crucial wrist control transitions there is more to that shoulder injury then he wants to admit... Im no Dr but right where he was pushing in on the shoulder in the CD match is 1 of the rotator cuff ligaments... That would explain the strength issues during the final...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Schram is not going to major Nyama. Schram, Chishko, Cody W, and Klempay could get 1st, Shorts and Macri top 4. Campbell, Dobbin and possibly Price top 8

    ReplyDelete
  49. Price has been a wild card the last few weeks... He might pull something crazy off like a top 5 finish

    ReplyDelete
  50. Does anyone know the record for the number of podium finishs from a single school?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I agree Price could pull off an upset he's capable and much Improved ..

    ReplyDelete
  52. I agree schram will beat nyama by several points i'm thinking 10-3 if not worse. Right now he's looking fast and strong

    ReplyDelete
  53. Price has to get out wips first. Won't be easy with Joseph, Kemmerer, Cavallo, Forys and Headley.

    ReplyDelete
  54. yeah last match with Ricky Cavallo is what started this run... Ever since that overtime victory the kid has been on a mission but I agree it is a STACKED WPIAL weight!

    ReplyDelete
  55. CW and Klempay 1st
    Schram and Chisko 2nd
    Dobbins and Macri 4th
Shorts and Campbell 7th or 8th

    ReplyDelete
  56. Schram, Wiercioch maybe Chisko #1 . Chisko could finish #2.. Macri-4- Kemplay #-2. Campbell-#-4. Dobbin #6. Shorts -#7or 8 and the sleeper is price. He may metal, hope he does he has worked hard and improved since the beginning of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Macri, Schram, Shorts, Chishko, Wiercioch, Klempay could all find themslves in the finals

Dobbin and Campbell could be in the top 4

if Price can get there he will place

outside shot of making it Krenzelak, Minor, Pihiou, Thoomas and Binnotto

    ReplyDelete
  58. Price is not going to make it out of the WPIAL this year. Too tough of a weight class.

  59. Anyone in Washinton County or surrounding areas please take an evening and stop by the Wash High School Board meeting tomorrow night to show support for their program. The program is on life support and needs help desperately. It may not benefit you directly but it may help save the program which in turn will ultimatley help kids. Thank you.
Washington High School, 201 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.  Meetings will begin at 7:00 pm

    ReplyDelete
  60. You can't save a program if none of the kids want to wrestle...

    ReplyDelete
  61. Fat Dego, did you send a dozen roses to the CM Athletic Department for their win. Apparently, the secretary said that a dozen red roses arrived at the school today from a Canton Florist.

    ReplyDelete
  62. To the non doctor, The rotator cuff... Is made up of 4 muscles that depending on where their tendon attaches to the humerus determines what direction the motion will proceed. No ligaments! Ligaments attach bone to bone. Tendons attach muscle to bone. If you want to make a comment at least have some knowledge about the material. Just saying...

    ReplyDelete
  63. Oh jeez u guys kill me... Now we have a biomechanics know it all...

    ReplyDelete
  64. They did say rotator cuff ligaments, he has point. You learn something on here everyday. Today anatomy, yesterday prison philosophy, almost everyday, people spell Chishko --Chisko, I wonder what tomorrow will bring? Does anyone know if Alexanders Athletic Club closes where Quest will relocate?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I heard quest is going to use cm wrestling room from now on

    ReplyDelete
  66. Schram and Nyama would make a great state final.

    ReplyDelete
  67. You mean cm is going to use the quest wreatling room from now on. Oh I'm sorry that is already happening. I will however congradulate the HS on a well deserved win. They finally beat the eastern schools at their own game. Was it respectful no. But hey they won their 1st piaa team championship. Everyone please give those boys a hand. And coach Mary he is just the best coach out their right now. The way he mentored those transfers was iconic. As for individual championships I would say 1 transfer gold. 1 transfer silver. And 1 transfer bronze. And for the rest of them 1 more silver, 1 more bronze and a few places down for the rest. What I want to see is your school maintain this dominance without the benifit of transfers. Then I will truely give you the ovation that you will deserve. It is a work in progress and you guys took a step in the right direction. Now lets see what you can do in the future. If you do it right you can single handedly build this county in to the dominating force it once was. If not then we will be talking about you like we talk about teams like NA. Use the fame to build not to destroy. Time will only tell which path your school chooses. But, for now enjoy your championship you truely earned it.

    ReplyDelete
  68. "Great Coach"...hardly...Ralph Kramden nabbed Wiercioch...That has made the difference...Otherwise, a close loss in the finals.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Shorts won't make the state tounry let alone the finals. He is limited on his feet, lack of a offense and he's to small at 126.

    ReplyDelete
  70. 2:51AM
I agree, CW made the difference in the match He came along at the right time. I watched him at every home match, you cant chisle that smile off his face, he seems to be very happy at CM and his team as well, CW has stated many times,

  73. Happy Valentine's Day to all of the Canon-Mac Wrestlers and coaches. Good luck in the State Tournament.

    ReplyDelete
  74. How many out there have ever been state champions in high school? It is a daunting task. Many people in here need to refocus their thoughts to what the kids have to do to reach that goal. Every single athlete on the CM wrestling team spent hours training, running, lifting, sacrificing and striving to become the best wrestler he could be. I appreciate the effort of each athlete for every hour he put in. I recognize each parent and coach for sacrificing their time for their kids when so many don't. CM wrestling 2011-2012 is a remarkable success story from top to bottom. Let's continue recognizing and praising each wrestler for their efforts and achievements. Good luck wrestlers as you continue moving forward in your sport and your lives.

  76. I was a state champion and I wrestled for the same team from 4th grade on...I'm old school...I went to public school, I wasn't "home schooled" like some delicate flower...I graduated with the same friends who I knew since I was 5. My coach didn't look like Ralph Kramden, and his son "earned" his spot on Varsity. At the time, other teams did just what CM did; "outsourced" for hired guns. I'm old school. I call it cheating or stacking the deck. Enough kids finally transferred in until you got the 3 points you needed for the title. Some things change for the better in world, while others stay exactly the same. I liked my way a hell of a lot better...

  90. So much for eliminating the personal attacks. Joe, I know you don't have the time or desire to police this crap but we have reached a new low. Be upset about CM winning, fine, but I'm done with the personal nature of the attacks on these kids who busted their butts to earn what they got. I came to this blog for information and wrestling talk...seems all there is nonsense and jealously. When we get out of the 5th grade maybe ill come back, in the mean time enjoy the childish banter.

    It Joe.

  92. hey 11:48 Is Cm the only team that sacrifices. You forget about all the other sons and teams that do the same. That is why CM is getting bashed so much on this blog because nobody else is wrestling this year. If you CM dads and fans would just come down a little this blog would not be so cruel to CM fans. CM has had a stunning season with more to come in Hershey I'm sure. I praise ALL the young men that wrestle to get to that goal of state champ. If you CM wrestling fans are truely wrestling fans as I am, praise your boys but don't think they are the only ones out there wrestling. It is great when your winning and on top, but I think everyone else is getting tired of the CM saga. You guys are great and the most talented team I have seen this year(except Blair) and wish everyone good luck at the tourneys. Just lightin up a little with your CM pride. Pride in ones school and athletes is a great thing but don't make it unbearable for other fans. Just sayin

    ReplyDelete
  93. To 6.14 am . this started long before the season started . and don't blame the CM fans . When Cody moved into the district people went ballistic . Comments about his family were atrocious . And it bleed down to the other kids too. If you are sick of hearing about CM why the hell did you post another bash comment .So don't give us the tongue in cheek BS please. We defend the kids against morons like you . If you want to talk wrestling why didn't you say some good things about your program . Instead you choose the same rhetoric, the same tired saga as you put it . Sorry don't believe a word of your crap. So sit in the stands and root against us like the jealous little person you are ...
