Scott in finals

A little more than a month after winning an NCAA Division I wrestling title, Coleman Scott is one win away from winning his weight in the U.S. National Championships.
Scott was one of 14 wrestlers to reach the finals in seven weight classes in Las Vegas. He was to face Shawn Bunch of the New York Athletic Club in the 132-pound finals.
If Scott wins the title, he will have another challenge in June’s U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Two of the top wrestlers in his weight class – Mike Zadick and Nate Gallick – skipped this event.
Wrestling for the Gator Wrestling Club, Scott reached the finals with a dramatic semifinal victory over Zach Roberson of the Sunkist Kids, 0-2, 2-0, 4-1. Scott has never wrestled Bunch.
Scott won his NCAA title in his senior season at Oklahoma State University by pinning Joe Slaton of Iowa in 49 seconds. It was Scott’s first collegiate championship.
