Headlee falls at NCAA
Pitt's Ethan Headlee, a Waynesburg High School graduate, had a first-round bye in the NCAA Wrestling Championships in St. Louis. Headlee is a sophomore with a 24-14 record. In Thursday evening's second round, Headlee dropped a 10-2 decision to No. 8 seed Jonathan Reader of Iowa State.
Reader led 4-1 after one period and 6-1 after two. Reader scored a reversal, received a stalling point and riding time point in the third period. Headlee managed an escape.
