looks pretty good, although to be fair a lot of the weights are cut & dried this year, no two guys challenging for that top spot. Also notice how much deeper some weights are than others. I think the 160 from Penn Hills could surprise some people, I don;t know if he's top 5 but definitely good and completely unknown. Thanks as always for the work you do.
Thank you I appreciate the rankings.Thank god Pletcher is finally ranked the experts were looking pretty bad.He was only a 4 or 5 time pjw champ coming into this season.Dont get all the Belle Vernon hype.Other than Mickelson ,the other wrestlers from BVA shouldnt sniff your list.Insiders say Jolly ran from powerade to wrestle at the sisters of the blind classic.
pletcher is a stud will win states at least twice even though hes 16
Pletcher couldn't be ranked based on middle school stuff, come on, man! He's ranked now because he earned it, in the pre-season he had not earned it.
16 or not he hasn't broke any rules. He was willing to make a sacrafice that most kids wouldn't.Barring injury he will win more than two.
As a rule, I don't rank incoming freshmen in the preseason rankings. I think they should at least win a varsity bout before the make it in.
In response to the first post, I think the 160 from Penn Hills is Te'Shan Campbell. He wrestled in the city last year and must have moved to Penn Hills. As far as being completely unknown, he was a PJW state champ in 2010 and I think he placed third last year. And to the second post, why all the hate for BVA???
JM is the only team that comes out to the mat with 15 wrestlers and only wrestles 9 or 10. If a wrestler suits up for a match there never should be a forfiet.
