Mary named National Wrestling Coach of the Year
Just a week after being named the Pennsylvania State Wrestling Coach of the Year, Canon-McMillan head coach Chris Mary was named the national Coach of the Year by Wrestling USA Magazine.
Mary guided the Big Macs to a sweep of the PIAA team titles the past two seasons. The Big Macs won five out of a possible six team titles handed out by the PIAA over the past three years.
Canon-McMillan went 45-0 over the past two seasons and had three PIAA individual champions in Connor Schram, Solomon Chishko and Cody Wiercioch. The Big Macs had 12 state medalists over the past two seasons.
Schram and Wiercioch competed for Team USA in the 17th annual Dream Team CLassic held in Chicago and also represented the school on the Pennsylvania Team in the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic.
Mary has coached the Big Macs for 13 seasons and has a 214-42
