Where are the wrestlers?

One look at the pairings for the Section 4-AA Tournament and you notice the lack of wrestlers in many of the weight classes. This is interesting for one reason. The section tournaments were brought back because the WPIAL believed it would spark interest in the sport if there were more medals to be had.

That has not been the case. The same wrestlers are meeting again and again in the postseason because the interest level in the Class AA postseason is decreasing. It's time to re-evaluate the value of section tournaments and start the postseason with a two-day WPIAL Championship.
