Welcome to Johnstown

Ah, Johnstown. What an interesting town. It's Friday afternoon and the first round of the Southwest Region Tournament is about to get under way. The drive up was interesting. Unusually warm weather and a splash of sunshine has hit this town, bringing relief from a long winter. When you take the time to look, though, it's still pretty much a dog of a town.

Anyway, I will be blogging from this tournament today and tomorrow. I will update you on who is doing what and when. There are hundreds of wrestlers competing but, really, everyone is waiting for the San Doval-Bennett final at 189 pounds.

Here's your first nugget: Highlands' Mike Henderson was scratched at 103 pounds. He was a WPIAL runner-up to Fort Cherry's Andrew Lucarini.
