Former coach sues Waynesburg U.
Tara Kinsell has a story on our Web site about Waynesburg University's former wrestling coach Charlie Heard suing the school.
"Former Waynesburg University wrestling Coach Charlie T. Heard of Morgantown, W.Va., has filed a federal lawsuit against his former employer in U.S. District Court claiming he was treated differently from other coaches because he is black.
The suit, filed Monday, alleges discrimination by the university against Heard and athletes recruited by him. ... "

maybe it's because he punched one of his wrestlers in the face 2 years ago, I'm sure he left that part out.
There are a lot of racists in Washington County. Murtha was right.
are you suggesting that charlie heard is racist? or just wants money?
I think Murtha was right most of the African American People in Washington County are the most racist people around.
I think punching a student in the face would be the main cause of someone being fired, especially if it's a christian school.
I'm sure the part about Mr. Heard's being attacked by a 285 lb. wrestler and defending himself, and being reprimanded for doing so was mentioned by Mr. Heard as totally unfair. This is not a Christian College;
rather it is one that claims to be one.
But justice will prevail.

You will find very few African American members in this town This is known Nationwide.
The College is Not a Christian College, as Christian means Christlike. Why don't you ask Charlie Heard what happened. The Wrestling team removed the student who assaulted coach Heard from the team.
COACH helped many students white & black thru many years. He sure wasn't getting paid to work at the College and should not have let that student even begin to attack him.

Hes just trying to cover up the fact that he was a terrible coach.This is a typical African American response when they fail....they blame everyone and everything for their failure instead of standing up and taking responsibility for their actions( or in this case,total incompetence).Be a man,coach..not a whiner.
I think his record in 2 years was 1 win and 22 losses. that's got to be an all time worst record over a 2 year span ever. maybe he got canned because he could not recruit or coach. But of course the race card has to be played. All In.
