Wiercioch avenges loss to McKillop

Cody Wiercioch has been waiting for this moment since he suffered a 4-3 loss to his arch-rival Travis McKillop of Burrell in the Powerade Christmas Wrestling Tournament.
In one of the most anticipated and highly charged bout of the WPIAL Class AA Championships, Wiercioch, a defending state champion from Charleroi, grabbed a hard-fought, 2-1 decision from McKillop in the 160-pound finals at Chartiers Valley High School Saturday night.
Wiercioch, a sophomore, was one of four local wrestlers to capture WPIAL gold.
Michael Innes of Chartiers-Houston won his second straight championship with a 10-6 decision over Francis Mizia of Bentworth at 145 pounds.
Senior Nick Carr, the defending state champion from South Fayette, took a 7-1 decision from Mike Pavasko of Steel Valley at 152 pounds.
And Jeff Tarley, a senior from Beth-Center, upended top-seeded Corey Garry of Fort Cherry, 3-1 in overtime for the heavyweight title.

Back in late december i read a blog with some ANON (typical) taking shots at Cody Wierchoch for losing a close match to Travis Mckillop at Powerade 4-3. The person said something along the lines ,he was bored with that matchup and wanted to see Wierchoch vs Chance Marstellar. Don`t worry you`ll probrably get your wish in the near future. However last night Wierchoch Mckillop round 5 went down with yet another great match. And they`ll probrably go again the next 2 weekends. Great stuff from 2 very talented wrestlers. Might be best rivalry ever.
