Fort Cherry hires Yanek
Carl Yanek, a 1987 graduate of West Allegheny and former head coach at South Fayette, was hired as Fort Cherry’s wrestling coach at Monday night’s school board meeting.
Yanek replaces Rich Chaussard, who resigned to take the South Fayette position when Mike Ladick was fired.
Yanek coach South Fayette from 1995-98 and also was head coach at West Allegheny and Center.

Good move FC, you actually hired someone that knows somthing about wresting. Hopefully he can turn a fading program around.
Can't you just say welcome Coach Yanek? Why the negativity?That wont help a so called "fading program".
Just look at his track record not very good
Coach Chaussard did a good job at FC. He had some studs but not enough. There isn't much coming up either so don't look for the new coach to do too much. In fact, I don't see him staying more than a couple years. He'll see whats coming up and believe me, it's not much. After this year there won't be a kid make it to Johnstown for at least 5 years.
