Kenney involved in fatal accident
From the Uniontown Herald-Standard:
State police have released the names of the two people involved in a crash on Ridge Boulevard in Dunbar early Sunday that claimed the life of the passenger.
Catherine A. Healy, 19, of Acme, suffered traumatic brain injuries and was taken to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville before being flown by medical helicopter to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh where she was pronounced dead at around 5 p.m., police said.
The driver of the vehicle, Ethan Kenney, 18, of Dunbar, fled the scene after emergency medical personnel arrived but before police arrived, police said. Kenney was located a short time later, police said, and was taken for tests after authorities took him into custody. Kenney suffered minor injuries, police said.
According to police, the crash occurred about 4 a.m. when the vehicle Kenney was driving left the road and struck a guardrail.
Kenney has been cited for driving at an unsafe speed, and police said charges are pending as the investigation into the matter continues.
Kenney graduated from Connellsville Area Senior High School in June.
He excelled in wrestling, taking third place in PIAA Class AAA wrestling championships in March.

A hot sports story indeed.
This is tragic for the girl who died and the her family. This kid will have to live with this mistake the rest of his life; not sure why this was posted on a wrestling blog.
I would think a major accident involving one of the top wrestlers in the WPIAL would be enough of a reason to be posted on a wrestling blog.
wrestling blog w/topic not about wrestling, capisce? They do not, say, list those who made honor roll, and don't post my doctor's golf score on the hospital website.
