Another New York Times article

I'm not sure what's happening here but another story on a Western Pennsylvania athlete appeared in the New York Times recently. Jake Herbert, a graduate of North Allegheny High School, made it into an NYT piece. The last time this happened was last fall when the New York Times detailed the struggles of the Avella football team.

Here's the link for Herbert.

Jake Herbert has a great you tube video of him doing pro wrestling in what looks like a college house basement. He sure looked like he was having a lot of fun. Not a fan of pro wrestling but the video is entertaining. Interesting he was wearing his collegiate singlet.

Hey Joe, What are your thoughts of Chris Como stepping down? Do you think Joe Makara will get the job? This is the logical choice right?

I heard Como was considering retiring because of his job and the fact he was getting burned out. That's not surprising. I don't know how a coach, who is not in the school building, can manage the time required to run the program.

I do know this: Finding a replacement for one of the top Class AA programs in the state won't be too hard.
