great tournament for all of the tri county schools. the bottom 4 programs are a disaster to watch. Valcano knows how to run a tournament. It's good to see these programs compete against each other once a year.
All jeff tarley does is win and he still doesnt get any pub from the O.R. or Tuscano. He's undefeated and ranked number one in the wpial. If he wrestled for canon mac or chartiers houston he would be on the front of the sports page every weekend.
You're goofy.
If he wrestled for Canon-Mac, he wouldn't be in the lineup.
How'd canon macs heavyweight do in the tricada?
Great to see Trinity wrestling on the rise again! Great job Mike Marino and your entire staff!
John Gough
That's funny big mac lover. Your heavyweights name can't be found anywhere in this past weekends tourny. Tarly is a 2 time state champion in juniors maybe three and will dominate the class again in double as well as triple A schools this year. Know what your talking about before you insert foot.
Was a joke son. You know-sarcasm. Your comments above proved my point. Now take your foot out your own mouth and put it elsewhere!
Jo state champ..?
Who cares.
Corey Garrey will beat Tarley when he comes back.
Mike Hull would pin Tarley.
Garrey wont touch Tarley when he comes back. The only wrestler in the region with a chance to beat Tarley is Duplin from westmont hilltop. As for Hull he is a great football player with a bright future but he doesnt want to wrestle this year. Thats evedent by the number of matches that he has chosen not to wrestle in. Oh bye the way Tarley would hammer Hull as well Big Mac Lover
Wrestling is one of those sports you can't do part time and beat the really really good kids the top 3%. Hull is obviously very gifted physically and will beat most and let me again say most at 215 and heavyweight. I am beginning to doubt if he could beat Tarley or Gaffney or several other good heavyweights and 215 pounders in AA and AAA. Even someone as great as Hull can't make up for lost time against the top guys there.
HULL, GARREY, KLEMPLAY AND STIFLER WILL ALL BEAT TARLEY THIS YEAR!
Tarley wrestles Hwy. The guys you mention wrestle 215 and move up to hwy when needed. Tarley has a big bucket ass and knows a lot of wrestling. What really makes him good is his mat presence and intelligence. None of the guys you mentioned would beat Jeff. NONE! you are an ass.
hahaha i liked the comment of not even making the line-up. Jeff's good but i have to agree, junior champ? this is high school now, whole different level of competition and Tarley knows that. he just needs to stay focused and keep winning
Tarley and Garry have wrestled many times in the past. I wonder what their over-all record is against each other. Tarley is more than just a big, strong kid. He is exciting to watch. He wrestles more like a 135 pounder than a heavyweight. Phenomenal Balance, maybe due to the large gluteous maximus you referred to.
I don't think Garry ever beat Tarley. I could be wrong but I don't think.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that Tarley is a 3 time J.O. champ and for those of you who think that doesnt matter, you are crazy. He has beaten everyone in area 4 for years now. Including a 1-1 record against Hull who Big Mac lover says would kill Tarley. On top of all that he is an exceptional athlete. He was one of the best fullbacks in the WPIAL two years ago before he tore his labrum and batted over .400 during this past years baseball season. When did this blog become a site for bashing our area's best athlete's? Some of you wanna be's need to stick to playing the X-box.
when did tarley ever wrestle hull? twice? when?
J.O.s twice they are one and one
It does matter, JO's in the champion bracket expecially more than once, national tournaments in the champion bracket, allows a wrestler to cope with his nerve and learn how to deal with pressure at a young age. So when those big one's arise in HS, they have the mental tools to focus on wrestling not the value of the match.
HULL AT JO'S
2002 5th at 95lbs 10U
2003 7th at 105lbs 12U
2004 1st at 135lbs 12U
2005 NO PLACE 167lbs. 14U
2006 1st at 187lbs 14U
when did hull wrestle tarley?
Crickets...
Klempay lost to Tarley last year to go to states. He then managed to not even place. Garry got thumped by Tarly in the state finals in 2007. I believe he beat him also to go to states that year as well. AS for Hull a can't find any info. But, I don't see your boys movin on up to wrestle him.
My boys are not Hull and Klempay. I just can't find where Tarley wrestled Hull twice thats all I am saying. I have watched all three wrestlers for many years and I know Klempay and Tarley wrestled. As far as movin up why would Hull and Klempay give up almost 50lbs to Tarley. Be real Tarley doesn't need a 50lb advantage. Tarley is a hwy now and a damn good one. Hull and Klempay are 215ers. Anyway Tarley plays baseball and football this wrestling is really a 2nd or 3rd sport for him.
