I'm thinking Adam Lazenga from Bethel Park could have gotten a better draw in the 285 pound weight class. He wins his first bout and then faces the defending state champ. Oh well, I guess you have to beat them all to be the champ anyway.

brackets are pre-drawn and rotate from year to year so there is no seeding, therefore BS does not enter into it.

FYI the brackets no longer rotate. This is the first year they had a blind draw of brackets AFTER the regionals were completed. This was done so that coaches couldn't "play" the brackets. As for Lazenga getting a bad draw, it happens all the time. I went to states for over 30 years and have seen two good wrestlers meet in the 1/4 many times.
