I would likt to be the first to say friends and I noticed and were talking about the conditioning of the PA team. It seemed as if the classic was held to soon after the Pa state championships....the state tournament is a BATTLE and takes a toll on these young athletes. It seemed the PA wrestlers were fatigued and worn out. I dont want to take anything away from the US team. I mean they are the US team, but you dont see wrestlers of the PA teams caliber fatigue at the end of the match ever...the kids need a longer break to recover after the state championships

wow did evan craig looked awful, was AAA heavyweight that weak the last four years. I think that Cael Sanderson also saw the same thing and that's why he didn't recruit him. Big, fat and slow, with zero muscle tone in his body. and how about Lazenga getting pounded on by a wrestler who was AA until this year. ( moved to NY to win a state title)

no i think that evan craigs performance had alot to do with being worn out as well. Craig wrestles year round and wrestles that quality of kids all the time and wrestles much better...and AAA heavyweight has not been that weak. he has beaten quality wrestlers over his year as a two time state champ...and also in the off season. he is ranked very high nationally and for a reason.

i posted the previous post and would like to add that craigs physique is not very impressive and does not seem to move well...he is a good high school wrestler but may not have the skill set or ability to be succesful at the next level which i think is prob why sanderson did not recruit him

just because a kid wins states doesn't necassarily mean major DI schools will give them a scholarship.

Well craigs image has alot to be desired when it comes to being picked by a major D1 school and the wrestlers he has gone with. Grades one would have to think, he does not work on conditioning, obvious and weights other than picking up another clean plate at the all you can eat buffet, looks to be about it...So why work hard in school.

I just watched the DD for the first time on video, OMG does Craig look bad. I think the 215 pound weight class helped him out over the years. Most of the faster more athletic upper weights in the past would have crushed him, they would have been to quick and explosive for him. These wrestlers now wrestle 215 instead of 285. He will disapoint in college.

The only one who looked worse than Evan Craig was Colton Blumer. What was he doing on the team? That's the best the wpial can produce, they should have dropped a 140 pounder down a weight. That performance was sad to watch.
