10 Comments:
It's been a long time since the team title is this up for grabs. Franklin Regional,Latrobe, Albert Gallitin, PCC, Connellsville, Cannon Mac, North Allegehny, Butler, Waynesburg, Penn Trafford, Hempfield, Kiski, Peters Township, USC, Bethel Park. Could all win it, The top four will be very beat up after this.
While I agree that most of those teams will be competitive, Canon Mac has way too much firepower and will for the next few years. Franklin Regional and Latrobe have a few solid wrestlers (and some great) but they do not possess the depth that the Big Macs have. With Schram, Chisko (if allowed), Shorts, Macri, Dobbin, Catalano, Campbell, and Klempy, they are balanced throughout and young too. Peters has no big boys. Penn Trafford and Kiski will be the only competitors.
Is Macri from West Virginia or Virginia? I'm sure the Penn Trafford coach is upset losing Chishko right before the start of his freshman year. This kid will be the state champ at 130 this year, I think Megaludis is the only kid around the middle weights that he can't beat. Is Penn Trafford Challenging his transfer? Jason Luster will make PCC a lot tougher this year, Cannon Mac still has many hole in the lineup.
If CM could have landed Wiercioch some how that would have been epic.
First Brownlee, now Chisko and Macri. Is Cannon Mac becoming Blair Academy in western PA? Macri moved from another state, Mary has connections.
Could be the beginning of the end for CM. If these kids are in the lineup shouldn't be where last years heroes are. CM would be fine without them and hometown kids (Junior High) would not be discouraged.
I would move school districts to if I were in jr. high. Put in my time and ready to start as a freshman and another transfer comes in and takes my spot. Macri is coming from over 100 miles away and Chisko about 50. This has to be hard on the parent of these kids, Bring in a recruit because my kid is not good enough. Just think of how Colt Shorts feels, He would be top 15 in PA this year at 103 and Macri is the newest recruit to be top 5. has the WPIAL approved these two newest recruits?
yes, they are approved.
79 to 70 It's a straight shot from there.
Colt beat Macri 5-2 in wrestle off yesterday.
