Wiercioch hearing today
The WPIAL will hold its hearing on the transfer of Cody Wiercioch from CHarleroi to Canon-Mac today. Mike Kovak will make the two-minute trip from his home to cover it for the paper. And because he loves wrestling .

Cody is out his junior year! Take that Cannon Mac catholic!
I bet that makes you happy that he is out his junior year, doesn't it? It is not over yet, there is still the PIAA hearing that will overturn this decision.

The WPIAL board was his best chance. It's over for him. Rutherford and WIericoch are both out, transfers are bad will anyone learn?
That is fine and good; IF it was enforced equally and fairly. Now, we have arbitrary rulings that seem to pick on the successful schools a league system that is entirely unfair when catholic/ private schools ( Pitts Cent Catholic/ SSA) can openly recruit and bring in kid competing against teams that cannot. In fact,they are competing against teams that are so paranoid about being seen to be as they are that stuff like this happens when a family actually moves! Where were all of you when Luster transferred to PCC last year? Where was your outcry? Why did the WPIAL ok that one? Because its an unfair field and they are hypocrites! They destroy this kid's chances at as good a career as he could have had and let recruiting and transferring go on ALL the time with private schools and let them in the same league!
Hearings are set: Thursday, Nov. 17, at 4:30 p.m. in the board room at PIAA headquarters.

we were all just waiting with our fingers on the keyboards just to pick on you Ed. We kicked butt last year team and individual and didn't have all this crap to hear about that you brought along with you, sorry!
