It feels like ground hog day listening to the CM wrestlers get spanked in the medal round. Best team in the country? I know a team in NJ who would suggest otherwise. LMAO!

Chance Marstellar is a beast. I see another state title. Blair Academy definitely ran away with the team tourney.

Thomas Haines is an absolute animal. The dude is a Soph and pinned everyone in powerade. PIAA champ as a freshman at 215 last year. Freshman!!! 215!!! AAA!!! WOW! And he won the PIAA final by fall. You just don't see that kind of talent...ever. He gotta be OW of powerade.

9:10 PM; Our team is having a fantastic season and we had a great show at Powerade, thank you for asking.
Corrections - (1)I'll bet they're losers; (2)I wonder what your team is doing. Ironically, my son wrestles for Blair. I would suggest: Jealously won't get you anywhere. I heard there was a babbling idiot with horrible grammar on the CM blog making insults about Blair. Nice meeting you!

Speak for yourself Blair Dad. I am a Blair Dad, as well. I loved watching our boys beat the pants off of the so-called Beast-of-the-East, CM. Bahaha. Blair Academy, PIAA, Team Champion!

Was that a misty-eyed Joe Tus-Canon hoisting Cody and his father in the air on each of his shoulders for a photo after the Tourney. Incredible show of strength at your age Joe. For a second, I thought I was at Cirque De Solei.

Happy New Years to all

I live in Cleveland now so Joe Tuscano and the OR are my only/best resource to follow whats going on with Wash/Green County wrestling and I think Joe does a great job. Everything out here is St Eds this and St Eds that. What seperates a high school team that recruits and a college team? I'm not sure. Shouldn't they win every match?

I love the Powerade Tournament; I wish I could make it back there to see it sometime. Congrats to Cannon-Mac on having a terrific team again this year.

Mr. Volcano is doing a disservice to the local wrestling community by not having all the local schools in this tournament. I understand schools like Trinity, Wash High and West Greene are, currently, in a rebuilding process but that is no excuse. Powerade has not always been the 3rd toughest tournament in the country. These schools still came to the tournament when, maybe, they could have gone to Manheim or a tougher tournament. Where is the loyalty? Local fans want to see the local guys in the finals of this tournament.

In addition, I think that, maybe, not being in the Powerade tournament hinders the rebuilding of some of these teams. I remember being in youth, middle school, coming to the Powerade and watching John Gough, Shawn Amistead, Andy Migyanko, etc in the finals of this tournament, feeling the excitment, the electricity and saying, "I have to be in the finals of this tournament someday." Little dudes at Trinity, now, no longer have that inspiration. Its disappointing.

Lastly, my commercial. I own a compounding only pharmacy called PharmaCare. I can formulate a lot of pain gels and other medications that would be great for wrestlers. Also good for wrestlers, gels for skin irritations that could cover the "funk" in such a way they could still practice without spreading it to their teammates. Us wrestlers need to watch out for each other...

I agree with last post on two points Joe is doing a great job reporting on wrestling in this area. He does not control the ugly posts. Also a $50000 a year scholarship to Blair you should win every match. They are very good but far from winning every match.

I find it hard to believe that a Blair parent is gonna waste 1 minute on this tired newspaper or this ridiculous blog. Blair recruits from all over the country. In the finals, the 120 and 128lbs were from California...the state!!! $50,000 a year to go there...they better beat everyone. You notice they didn't seed their B-squad to this tournament!

So, you have a gel that prevents or "could" prevent the spread of MRSA etc...Interesting claim. Have you sought FDA approval for this compound? Could be rather lucrative, as opposed to shopping it on Mat Matters. What Evidence-Based Research can you present to the readers to support your claim that this compound could prevent the spread of funk? Please post a link to any Evidence-Based research that you have published to support your claim regarding your product.

I didn't mean to make a claim of efficacy. It is just an idea based on some compounds that are being made for other issues that I am trying to apply to the sport of wrestling. I was just indicateing that despite the fact that I don't get to coach or get around the sport much anymore, I'm still trying to do some stuff that could benefit wrestlers.

As of right now, just a promising idea.
