Powerade picks
When Blair Academy accepted Frank Vulcano's invitation to participate in the Powerade Christmas Tournament, it immediately became the favorite to win the event. Heck, Blair's reserves won a tournament in Bethlehem last week, so how good could their regulars be? The only team that had a chance to beat Blair was Canon-McMillan, but those chances fell away when Connor Schram's minor back injury forced him out of the tournament.
So here are my picks for the team race.
1. Blair Academy
2. Canon-McMillan
3. Central Dauphin
4. Walsh Jesuit
5. Solanco
I am picking one freshman - Vincenzo Joseph of Central Catholic - to win a weight class, 106. Jimmy Gulibon of Derry will beat Colt Shorts of Canon-McMillan in the 126-pound finals for his fourth title; Cody Wiercioch (170) and Cody Klempay (Hvy) will win titles for Canon-McMillan; and Tyson Dippery of Central Dauphin will beat Mark Grey of Blair Academy in the 132-pound final.
And the biggest upset in the tournament will come at 160, where Chance Marsteller of Kennard Dale . . . . won't pin his way to a title. He'll win at one by decision. Hey. I'm not crazy.

I disagree, Shorts won't even touch the finals.
Keener is way over-rated!!!!
Of course you would disagree your anonymous. Don`t underestimate Colt. The kid has the drive and works harder than anyone down stairs. He`ll be in the hunt thats for sure.
Go ahead jason let it be known
If anyone is overrated it's Shorts. It's hard to even seem him go to states this year.
I heard Marsteller was registering at 170...
Headlee over joseph in the semi's. keener beats shorts, close. cimato defends his title, upsets #1 in the country from Blair. Skonezeiy will also defend his crown. Haines will win his 1st of three at 220. 195 is weak. Delauriers will win this year. If grey is healthy he walks through 132. 113 is hard to pick, I'll go with unseeded Krivus.
The only thing that will keep Shorts from going states this year is an early class at Cal.Poly.
saw jv match yesterday - a kid from canonmcmillen pinned all his guys to win heavyweight championship - why is he on the varsity-
Two words Klem pay.
what is the name of the canonmcmillen heavyweight wrestler that pinned all his kids yesterday - you have to admit he is a great wrestler - dont know Klem pay
I heard Marsteller is going 170, because he thinks Wiercioch is avoiding him. Should be an exciting final....
I think he's Dan Gable's grandson . Dan moved here too in the summer. He's the heavyweight you're talking about I'm sure.
who won the jv tournament?
