Another great program

Maybe we can all take a break from the Canon-McMillan debates to recognize there are other great teams out there. This is from Rodfrisco.com:

Central Dauphin established a Pennsylvania record for consecutive wrestling dual meet victories with a 70-3 triumph over Central Bucks East in the opening round of the Central Dauphin Duals. With four more victories in the event, CD (9-0) will take an 82-match streak into Wednesday’s match with once-beaten Big Spring (10-1).
The opening-round victory was CD’s 78th straight and broke the previous mark of 77 set by Dallastown from the 1983-84 season through the 1988-89 season. The Dallastown streak was stopped by South Western, 31-15, on Jan. 11, 1989.
CD’s winning streak began on Jan. 12, 2008, following a 34-31 loss to Cumberland Valley in the third round of the five-round Cumberland Valley Winter Duals. The Rams defeated Council Rock South in the fourth round, 38-17, to start its current streak which has spanned four years and two days.
In the process, Central Dauphin became the first District 3 team to win four consecutive District 3-AAA team championships (Hanover has the District 3 record with seven straight titles, all in Class AA) and four straight PIAA Class AAA Team Championship titles.
The Rams defeated Mifflin County 53-10 for their 79th straight victory and Middletown 55-8 for their 80th straight victory. CD crushed Abington Heights 71-3 in the fourth round for its 81st straight victory and beat St. Anthony’s from Melville, NY (Long Island) 52-12 to close out the Duals at 82 straight.
Central Dauphin is ranked No. 26 nationally by Intermat.

He will choose from his 102 synopsis bag of tricks and determine which local guy will sit the bench while his team mate wrestles in his place by moving up a weight and forfeiting the weight class below. Wow that was a long run on sentence - sorry. Oh yeah, did I also tell you how our goal at CM is to have kids wrestle in college on scholarships? We provide them opportunities to be successful on the team. Wait a minute, how about the kid I just benched to give the other team six points for a forfeit? Oh, he don't count - he is a local

Amen! As soon as we start to talk about another well-deserving team, someone brings up CM. They should get that obsessive behavior look at by a professional. Tell the doctor that you perseverate over CM and their success(they'll know what you're talking about). Great job Central Dauphin!

Central dauphin can beat cm. They can win 7-8 matches but will bonus points be enough.Just remember not all their wrestlers are from that high school either so it should be a good match between 2 schools with some transfers.

The person who wrote that about krenzelak really has no class this guy works everyday for his family, then puts in many many hours working with kids in the cm program to teach them the fundamentals of the sport. That my friend is priceless!! Maybe some day you'll shake his hand and say thank-you.

C-M vs Central Dauphin is gonna be epic. The matchups and chess match the coaches will have to decide on is gonna be interesting in itself. Central Dauphins run of 4 straight PIAA Titles is a remarkable feat. I also can`t wait to see how the section team tourney`s play out next week. I said before C-M vs Franklin Reg, But North Alegheny has only one loss. They might have some say in that. And 6:12 my boy Slack was hardly Jv.Started 3 years on some of the greatest teams in C-M history. The guy works his tail off for these kids. Maybe try it(work)someday you might like it.

Slak looks like Rasputin when he grows his beard out. Who cares about Central Dauphin? Get in the Way Back Machine to find a PA High School that won it all with a stable of locals. It's been a while. Remember when, things were different then, some how thing change, kinda rearrange, that's why when I can..... I remember when.
I would say North Hampton was the last HS to do it.

I forgot about Chelbove. Although a friend from Parkland has informed me that Whitey grew up with the North Hampton program. That doesn't mean he didn't live in Whitehal when he was young.... Im not sure. In the 80's and 90's I don't recall a whole lot of kids moving to Northhampton. I believe the recruits in the area went to Easton. Easton, Northhampton, Central Dauphin have won over 90% of the state championships over the past 20 years. Hell, Canon Mac(92) Connelsville, Bald Eagle (pre Central Mountain)may have been the last team to win the PIAA with purely homegrown kids. Maybe CM had to do it to keep up with the Jones'.

Is it recruiting or has wrestling died so bad at most schools that kids want to be on a good Full team with an actual wrestling partner? Is it because school districts have not consolidated over the years which would have keep teams strong. Can you imagine CH and CM as one team? Washington / Printy / McGuffy. Yes, in America there are numerous school that represent this large of an area. Or is it the saturation of school sports without consolidation plus kids mostly playing one sport that has killed some programs that has made good kids seek good teams ... Or is it recruiting? I think it is all the above and most the recruiting comes from the Dads down at the local Wrestling club trying to get a good team together. The individual has got to be the only highlight for a state caliber wrestlier on a team of 5 without a partner. This guy's dad is going to find him a school to wrestle at - it is only logical. The Dads that are at that school (as long as it is not their kid's weight) say "Come to our team - we will be stacked". And there you go ... CM success. As Elvis would say ... Thank you ... Thank you very much - I'm out of here!

A attempted post to give credit to Central Dauphin's success immediately buried by a barrage of CM fans sitting around teary-eyed singing the CM's Alma-Mater unfortunately no one knew the words because all the dads actually attended schools other than CM. While the newest addition to the clan knows passionately about what it takes to be a success on the mat although never having actaully stepped his decrepit body onto a mat except to demoralize a kid with criticism. you fran the tank are a pathetic "Looooser".

Who really cares about Central Dauphin. Probably the same distance to Indianapolis. Why don't you talk about a great team from there or Detroit, MI. Really has local wrestling got too pathetic for this local sports paper's wrestling blog. What is exactly wrong with talking about CM. They are the best team around. I will talk about CM or any other local team on any of these subjects. I'm back and Out of Here!

Hey Jick, you must be the newest addition to the CM Catholic melting pot. Thank goodness they acquired a recruit this with an old man who has janitorial engineering expertise to help reduce instances of skin disease on the mat at CMC, plus it gets you into the matches for free which helps save face. I love this circus. With your pathetic grammar, I would guess you've put away a six pack, slapped the wife, and kicked the dog.
