Chishko picks Va. Tech

Solomon Chishko, a junior wrestler at Canon-McMillan, has given an oral commitment to Virginia Tech.
Chishko is a two-time state medal winner and has finished first and second at Powerade.
He had a 44-2 record last season and took third place in the state at 138 pounds. His only two losses of the season came to Steve Spearman of Erie McDowell, who beat Chishko in the state team tournament and in the semifinals of the individual tournament.
Chishko had a 25-15 major decision over Austin Rose to help the Big Macs win a 28-25 decision over Central Dauphin in the state team semifinals. It was one of the biggest victories in the history of Canon-McMillan wrestling.
Virginia Tech is coached by Kevin Dresser, and the Hokies compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Prior to coaching Virginia Tech, Dresser was head coach Christiansburg Academy, which has been a frequent participant in the Powerade Christmas Wrestling Tournament at Canon-McMillan.

Great Job Joe! Comment moderation working and properly set to instantly filter any comment that are not Pro-Canon McMillan. This is convenient for you and your remaining fans.

The comment moderation was implemented because of the insulting and possibly libelous nature of the comments, not because of my feeling toward any high school or its wrestling program.

If you don't like it, start your own blog and put your own lawyer on retainer.

Another point Anonymous: The comments portion deteriorated into posters ripping other posters. It got tiring and boring, and out of hand as one tried to top the other in insults.

Some of the worst posts here - and I know you'll find this hard to believe - were on issues that had nothing to do with Canon-McMillan.

I don't understand what you mean by pro-Canon-Mac. Are you saying we intentionally write glowing reports of their accomplishments because we have a biased to that team?

Are we pro Coleman Scott? pro-Chartiers-Houston? pro-Jefferson-Morgan? Pro-Washington wrestling? All have had a dominant presence on this blog.

If you think cutting off the inflammatory and childish remarks about the subjects of this blog is pro anything, it's not. It's a sad commentary on how anonymous posting on social media can be so vicious.

I am anti-vicious.

Please, all you really do joe is regurgitate previously posted information; occasionally post a comment; and actively ax legitimate comments. If you don't think you're pro CM scroll back through last years blogs..

That ares is where wrestling is appreciated.

This used to be a great source for wrestling informtion, but has become predominately a blog centered around CM and it's unfortunate.
