The more I think about it, I think it is a bloody shame that C-Mac got spanked by Blair Academy. It was a historical beating. Recruiting needs to be approved immediately.

if more CM wrestlers would go to Quest, instead of just a small hand full and wrestle in the off season CM could hang with Blair.

Or better yet, Pittsburgh Wrestling Club.

Best club around. Why not learn from College Coaching, wrestle college kids if you plan to wrestle in college?

When I wrestled back in the day, the School's Coaching staff would provide year round training. You didn't have to go to clubs (and pay for those clubs). If team needs additional training maybe it should be provided by the coaching staff instead of clubs. Some people unfortunately don't live in the big house on the hill and can't afford club sports. Some people even have more than one kid in a sport. Some kids play two or three sports. Wow imagine that. There still is that type of training at a few schools - McGuffy has it.

CM does have year round training and practices held by the coaching staff. It's just not mandatory. Mandatory practice runs from early october for running and lifting, through some point during the individuals post-season. It depends how many kids move on from sections to wips and so on, to determine if practice continues to be mandatory. No need to keep the team through the completion of the state tourney if you only have one kid qualify. Then there's about 2-3 weeks off and practice resumes at no charge.

I was embarassed by the submission hold Blair Academy put on our boys at Powerade. I believe that Canon-Mac could hang with Blair Academy if they simply hired wrestling 14 coaches, each weighing as much as a single wrestler. Thats 14 coaches, each a different weight, to ensure the each wrestler gets individual coaching attention. Is this too much to ask of a program who has the resources to relocate an entire family? I mean we lost by 100 points dang-gummit.

I was not referencing CM but nice to know they have a program. Only pointing out - clubs should not be the only way to improve skills. People just don't have the money now days. Its expensive. Mcguffy has one of the best freestyle practices around. Don't knock it. My kid does not attend school there either - open practices. Our school - begins / ends with season. Any it shows unfortunately.

Frank the Tank - it can be done. That is about how many football coaches there are at CM. At record of 0-9 just cut it down to 4 for football and add 10 to wrestling and you got your 14. I mean they are ranked 7th in the nation. Put the money where the success is.

Why isn't CMC at tri county? Look for this to be the last year of the tri county, with a weak feild and CMC not their, a bunch of schools complaining they their not going next year.

Besides, we all know the real reason CM isn't returning to Tri-Cada, delinquent/uncollected entry fees from past dual meets.

Chris Mary must have heard a rumor that Blair Academy and a slightly overweight Marsteller would be appearing at Tri-County. CAN-MAC would be shaking in "they're" collective boots if that happened. I guess we all need to aspire to greatness and CM saw "there" aspirational peer at Powerade. Now get back to work. I see a few dust bunnies in the corner.

Speaking for the program here at Canon McMillan, I would have to say that we truly welcome any and all competition. We also thought it was awesome that Blair came this year to Powerade and we hope that they come very year. We work year round for decades now to ensure that we can put our young student/ athletes in a good position to perform at a high level both in the classroom and on the mats. Competition such as that at Powerade which we are proud to host will only help us get better so that we can accomplish our goals of team and individual titles which will help lead to scholarships. Hopefully, we can continue to add to the growing list of college wrestlers that we have, even some of them staying healthy enough to gain All American status, National Championships and it is a personal goal of mine to have a CM grad someday compete on the international level maybe even the olympics! I am proud of our state ranked wrestlers and am also proud of all the state ranked WPIAL wrestlers. My loyalty lies with Canon McMillan first, the WPIAL second and the State third, USA 4th etc etc when it comes to wrestling. Furthermore, I wish people would spend more thought and energy into developing their own programs as they do hating what we have accomplished over the years and continue to do so in the present! I feel that if that were to happen all of our teams would be even better than they currently are. Iron sharpens iron! Just like the 90's when I competed, to even get out of the section with CM, Trinity, Mcguffey and Waynesburg was a major accomplishment. Lets get back to those days sooner than later.

I have to give Brian props on that solid beard, otherwise, I watched them LOSE with class at Powerade. I have to admit that you will fit right in with a few of the CM parents given your lack of understanding regarding "their" and "they're". I have some suggestions for you, big Dego; change your name from "big" to "illiterate", stay in Akron, and enroll in an English course at the local community college. Joe, please remove this offensive post at 3:28. We don't need the school children exposed to ethnic slurs. Worse yet, according to the Oxford dictionary, he even spelled it wrong. Laughable.

Actually 12;01 It's the Big Dego from Canton . Got the name when I came to Canton from the Bronx. Tell your child it's no big deal , I'm sure he will hear worse. As far as the guy at 1;20 pm you don't speak for me . You people down there must be a jealous bunch of -- CM has a great team better than any team we have here. Cm came here and kicked our behinds . I'm following them and wish them well . Like I said their well coached and win with class.
