I dont think any coach would want to settle for less than the best. If the coach did lose for standings shame on him. He took something from them kids.

In the off the mat AA state rankings as of Feb 1st Fort LeBoeuf is 6th and Reynolds is 7th so I don't think Reynolds lost on purpose since they wrestled a higher ranked team.

Why doesn't Jefferson-Morgan have to wrestle in AAA since they draw their team from two whole schools? They win their matches by forfiets alone since they can get 12 or 13 boys to fill the weights. Their opponents all draw from their own AA schools. Thus 5-6-7-8 forfiets.

It's my understanding that Jeff-Morgan's enrollment, combined with Carmichaels in the co-op, is still under the Class AAA limit.

It seems to me that cm and cd are ranked 1-2 in AAA and are most likely going to meet in semis. Is it possible that you or someone else could make a phone call and see if PCN NETWORK could possibly have that match broadcasted on t.v. or have it as the match of the week because clearly that's what it is. That's what everyone wants to see. Also what is correct cm wrestling winner of parkland-springford or winner of parkland-springford or easton.

CM won't beat CD because the Macs don't have a 132 or 145 pounder. Weak spots.

Make it happen Joe. Athough I'm partial to AA wrestling, I wouldn't mind watching some wrestling on PCN NETWORK.

To 10:37, I'll step up and defend my son. He may not be a state champ but which one of his losses makes him a hole in the lineup. They all can't be the best on the team. You clearly don't know what your talking about. You must have someone at that weight your hoping gets in the lineup. Go ahead spill it who are you rooting for. After this leave it up to the coaches don't beat it to death.

Sam's dad, don't worry about what other people say, they always hate when a team or a person is better than them! There is absolutely NO HOLES in the Canon Mac team and this will be proven when they bring home the Championship from Hershey this weekend. Loser's hate winners, it is the way of life! I think some people just love to say negative things about other people and teams that are better than their team or them. They really need to grow up and get a life.

Dad, don't let the haters get to you. These people are the same that have been crying all year about CM for one reason or another .. They're trying to get you going . Believe me they're not worth it . Your son is good and part of a great team and he is one of the reasons the Macs are great.

Sam's dad- Is your son from Canonsburg or is he a recruit that they brought in? I'm guessing he is from Canonsburg if they are thinking they could bring in another to fill his spot. You should consider yourself one of the lucky parents who didn't have their sons spot taken by a recruit. Oh wait a minute Canon-mac doesn't recruit.

11:07, why can't you ever leave it along ALREADY! Get over it!! I bet your son is one of the ones that is sitting home this weekend and not wrestling, get a life, stop hating! Sam's son is not going to get replaced now or never! He is a great wrestler on a great team! Jealously really doesn't become you! By the way, I thought you were "out of here" a couple of timse already and you still come back!

I have no control and no influence over what PCN would broadcast. It's silly these two teams meet in the semifinals. It should be the star match of the tournament and it's a mistake by the PIAA not to have separated the teams in the bracket.

There are some websites that have streaming video of tournaments, but I think the PIAA has the rights to all that. Still, it might be worth a Google search on Friday night.

To Sam's Dad,

I want to say how proud I am of your son Sammy. He possess all of the character traits that all young men should have today. As his former teacher and close follower of the team I have been so pleased to see what a fine young man he is. He not only is a great wrestler, he is even a greater person. He is a fine student, a great wrestler, and a selfless one I may add. He is one of the most respectful young men that I have seen in any sport. I will be cheering for him and the team this weekend at Hershey. Go Big Macs

Sammy is not a state champ , that is correct but he works just as hard as anyone. I wouldn't trade him for anyone out there that boy holds his own, now come on he only has 3-4 losses what more could you ask for. Keep on going sammy 30 plus wins in a season is by far a weak spot in lineup.

Too bad they didnot come to powerade this year. With that line up bet they would have won.

Cd was at powerade. with Varndell and Schwartz back they are way better. Elvin beat price 13-2 at powerade and 113 won't be easy to win. I think CD wins,106,126,132,145,152,160 and 182. that's 7-7 apeice. It will come down to pins, CM will be a heavy Favorite in the upper weights, CD in the middle and the lightweights they will split. I wish this was the final so I could see it on TV.

Vardell against chisko, how's that make them better? Schwartz against Dalton, come on I don't see them being better. Also price has just beaten the 2 and 4 for powerade he's on fire. Elvin won't beat him like that again. But wait isn't Conner back? That make cm better than they were at powerade. Should be a great time.

The Central Daulphin match will be the closest match of the year for CM... In my opinion it will come down to the pins... B. Price is on FIRE lately and Elvin isnt not ranked much higher... if CM middle weights get pinned there DONE... if Klempay or Cambell have a bad night they are done... I cant find the bracket right now but Central Daulphin does not have a easy ride to that match either...

CM 106 Price +3
CM 113 Macri +3
CM 120 Schram +5
CD 126 Dippery +3
CD 132 Brown +6
CM 138 Chishko +6
CM 145 Dobbin +3
CD 152 Pebbleman +6
CD 160 Pebbleman +6
CM 170 Wiercioch +5
CD 182 Spradlin +3
CD 195 Parsons +6
CM 220 Cambell +6
CM 285 Klempay +6

What do you guys think ?

If they move Wiercioch up to 182 and put Thomas at 170 then we could possibly win both of those weight classes. We will have to wait and see what the coaches do.

Good Luck Big Macs - Bring home the GOLD!!!

You can break down this match 100 different ways. It all comes down to bonus points. The coin toss will be very crucial. Hey lets be honest Central Dauphin is the real deal(4 straight team titles is incredible). I believe however the Big Macs are just to strong top to bottom and will prevail in a very competitive contest.I also hope that North Allegheny and Greensburg Salem AAA ,as well as Burrell and Jeff-Morgan AA represent the WPIAL as well as i hope they can. Good luck to all the young men in hershey. This is your reward for all the hard work you, your coaches, and parents have waited for. Prediction for C-M vs CD. C-M 34 CD 27

Around the horn wins this one. 220-285-106 Thomas will not beat Peak IMO coin toss is not that important--starting weight class is more important. Big Mo can be tough in a match. 106 CD beat CM at Powerade CD lost to Greensburg at Powerade CM beat Greensburg both CM and CD lost to Waynesburg but CD almost beat Waynesburg=it will be a good match. There may be 3 pins in the entire match I don't think there will be 7 pins.

Don't forget schram may go to 126 and wrestle dippery also and macri go to 120 and pick up win there also.It does depend on toss cody could move to 182 and thomas go at 170 then could be 2 wins there but either way going to best match cm 33-24 may be worse

I say the coin toss is important because with 2 lineups that almost mirror each other, one or two matchups either way can determine the outcome.I mean it is that close of a contest. Yes indeed it will definitly be even more crucial where the match starts.Look bottom line is we are finally getting a chance to see a great match with some good debates. One thing that bothers me like the rest of you is why in god`s name the PI DOUBLE AHOLES do not seed this tournament when everybody knows the two best teams by far are squaring off in the semi-finals. Seems pointless to even have rankings for these teams(ya know the PA power rankings). I guess though you could say the same thing in regards to the individual tournaments.

I can guarentee you that Schram does not go to 126!!!!! Some of you people talk like you have never watched wrestling!!! There will be 1 fall....at heavyweight. Cody, Campbell, Sully, and schram will get bonus points for CM. Bonus points for CD at 132, 160, and 182. FInal Score CM 31-----CD 22. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!

The PIAA does not seed, and is not going to seed, tournaments in any sport. Period.

Who is going to "independently" seed these teams? Who has seen enough of each of them to do so? And who is going to do this in every single sport the PIAA sponsors?

The PIAA is not going to seed the specific teams in any tournament. The Board of Directors approves the brackets, based on District placefinishes, up to two years in advance.

Dami said it right PI DOUBLE AHOLES should look further into seeding because when you got the number 1 -2 teams meeting in semis is ridiculous. The point is in the piaa individual tournament the brackets are already pre drawn just like team brackets but they have 2-3 different brackets available. That being said when there are two state champs in the same side of bracket the piaa makes sure they separate them so they don't meet until the finals if both wrestlers are fortunate enough to make it.

The thing that kills me is PCN is covering the finals for broadcasting and they should step in and say for better ratings this is what we want.No matter who makes it CM,CD and whoever on other side of bracket will definately be a blowout. What a great final that will be (yeah right.)

Dont forget about Alec Hutchin.. Might see him wrestle..

Couple thoughts

I think Alec Hutchin could play a big part in the match against CD. If he goes into the lineup at 138, that allows the Big Macs to bump up from there.

I talked with a reporter from Harrisburg and he thinks that would hurt CD chances. The flip will be crucial.

As for the seeding process, the PIAA says it's a predrawn tournament but I find it odd that the strongest wrestling districts are at least separated until the semifinals. That's happened the past few years.

This is not a randomly drawn bracket like they want us to believe. When I suggest they seed it, I simply suggest they keep the two best teams away from one another until the finals. It's not hard to determine that.

If CD's spot in the bracket is switched with, say, Owen J. Roberts, the remainder of the bracket could stay as is.

Sickness... I think think the poster said HVY will pin and Cody will get bonus points. Did he leave someone out? Are there more Cody's on the team? Please stop with the name verification stuff. People around here will fire bomb your house if you're critical of their likings. If you insist, you should lead by example of course unless Sickness is Scotch-Irish and then I've got egg on my face.

I like to think Alec Hutchin will get in at some point. He could start on 3 quarters of the teams statewide. The coin toss may determine that idea for CD match or it may be all smoke and mirrors. One other note. When will Alex Campbell get his much deserved attention on here. The kid is like 28-2 and fresh off pinning Tanner Hahn(#2 in WPIAL Rankings). I look for him to get 6 Against CD. Its kinda hard to get ink when your on a team like this, Believe me i know. Enjoy the tourney fellas

7:42 I understand how the PIDoubleA-HOLES OPERATE. They won`t change anytime soon. I just think its pointless to have and promote a power ranking system like The PA Power rankings just to match up teams or individual because its to hard or to inconvenient to seed them. How many times over the last 30some years have you seen the best matches in the Semis and even quarter finals only to be let down with some bad matches in the finals. They(The PIAA) continue to drop the ball
