Nearly all top four seeds advanced to the semifinals, except for Rodgers (NA) at 126, who was injured; Landowski, who was upset by Synan (Hampt) at 138; Kyriacopoulos (USC), who lost on first night at 152; Crivelli (Hope), who fell to Stout (Mt.L0 at 160; Nolan (BP, who lost to Brooks (Fox) at 182; Capra (McG), who fell to Macek (Mont) at 195; Phillips (AG) and Fleck (Fr. Reg) at heavyweight.

Dario Dobbin of Canon-Mac had two close calls in the tournament, edging Bistline of Kiski 5-4 in Rd 1 and Avon of North hills 9-7 in Rd 2. He gets Washington of Penn Hills in semis.
