Missing in action

Suppose they had a team tournament event and no one showed up? That's what seemed to happen at Jefferson-Morgan High School Monday night for the preliminary round in Class AA.

Kittanning arrived with seven wrestlers, Burgettstown had four wrestlers out of the lineup, Jefferson-Morgan had a wrestler sleep past weigh-ins, and Fort Cherry forfeited two weight classes as it has done all season.

The Fort Cherry-Kittanning match lasted 26 minutes. The team tournament should be a display of the best teams in the WPIAL. But from this round, it is apparent that the number of teams qualifying for the Class AA team tournament should be reduced.

Congratulations to Day @ burgettstown. You took a good team and made it average. Not making weight this time of year is inexcusable.

Yeah and that is Coach Day's fault. You are a donkeys behind . These kids have no heart or desire. It is always somebody elses fault. People better start looking in the mirror. Accountablility Darnit! You however are a donkeys hind end. Day is learning and doing a great job. He should have just stayed and helped his alma mater. They really could use a good guy like him.

ultimately it is the coaches responsibility to have wrestlers at each weight. Being a motivater is part of coaching. He may be a good coach i don't know, i have been to a few matches and have yet to see him coach.

Dear Trinity, If you want this clown please take him. We want Terry Havelka, Brad Abbott or no one.

Thank You

Read that last sentence again. That's the problem, whether it be the parents voicing this or the wrestlers. I don't follow Burgettstown, but after reading posts on here and on other websites it has become clear to me that the Days were not given a fair go at this. When i read this junk, it becomes evident that if you aren't from Btown, it will be very hard to become successful leading that program. I think the real clowns need to grow up.
