Team Tournament at Fox Chapel
The WPIAL Team Tournament has been schedule for 3 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Chapel High School. Canon-McMillan will wrestle Kiski in the Class AAA finals and Burrell takes on Shady Side Academy in the Class AA finals.

Why don't we just make it at Kiski High school. We just keep getting closer to kiski every time it gets rescheduled. CM is getting the royal screw over on location. Yes Charleroi was good for CM no doubt and North Allegheny was somewhat neutral but Fox Chapel is like a home match for Kiski and a hour away for CM.
I was going to say the same thing as the above post, until I got on Map Quest and looked up the miles away from each high school. Routes may vary, but they are about with 10 miles of each other as far as the difference in distance from Fox Chapel. I think the travel time for CM to get to Fox Chaple is going to be a lot longer because of traffic and weather.
I don not like the final match being held a Fox Chapel at all. I really dislike the time of the match. When that match ends, all the CM fans are going to have to drive through the city during rush hour in a Winter Storm Warning.
I also hate the time of the match because I will not be able to leave work early to watch it.
I pray non of the fans or student athletes end up in an accident.

The match was going to be held at Chartiers Valley Tuesday night, but that got snowed out. Talk about being an advantage for one over the other...Why not just have it in Canonsburg?
The match is (scheduled to be) at Fox Chapel. Show up, or don't. This can no longer be about equidistant, and all the other ballyhooing going on here. Nature has forced the WPIAL and the PIAA to take action to get the District 7 tournament completed so that the PIAA Duals can begin.
Deal with it or don't. But leave your persecution complex at the door.

Does anyone else realize that we are last in the state, in completing the district duals. everyone else is finished but district 7, don't blame the snow, everyone else got nailed with it aswell. The rest of the state finished on monday, the wpial decides to hold out until tuesday, with 8 more inches of snow are supposed to hit us. Great job of delaying this team tourny, so nobody can see the finals because of the next storm that is going to hit us. What was wrong with monday? 28 degrees and no snow...
gotta admit charleroi was not very good for Kiski and just 25 minute drive for cm.
Wow! Someone got a word of the day dictinary. To tell the truth, I had to look up a few of those words. I am more of an Arithmetic person.

What was wrong with Monday. Also, if you are going to have it on Tuesday, why not just have it in the morning say 10:00am or 11:00am.

You are corrcect in saying that Canon-Mac fans have never driven from Kiski to Fox Chapel. Why would they?

must have never driven from CM to Charleroi. According to Map Quest it is a 46 Min drive while Kiski 1h4m drive. Granted, this is from High School to High School.
My point from above is simply that I am not happy with the time of the match. If you are gonna have it at 3:00PM why not move it up to 11:00AM and make it safer for the kids and the fans. Bottom line should be safety. Screw where it is at.

WPIAL1: Gee, do you think we can schedule these wrestling team things in the middle of a snowstorm?
WPIAL2: Sure, and to make it worse for the fans, why don't we schedule it for 3 in the afternoon when nobody can show up?
WPIAL1: That's a brilliant idea. I wish I would have thought of it myself.
WPIAL2: And let's hope the buses get stuck in the snow or slide all over the roads on the way home. I seem to recall the All-Knowing Chuck saying buses get stuck or slide in the snow all the time, or something like that.
WPIAL1: Right, he did say that. And remember, we played that girls basketball championship game because Chuck said so. And only a handful of fans showed up. It was a great day to be a fan in the WPIAL, just like Tuesday is going to be. We'll piss 'em all off. Isn't it great to be the WPIAL?

I saw that connellsville beat PT by 13. Now they travel to clarion tonight to wrestle, Clearfield. If they win tonight they will qualify for the state tournament. These 3 teams from the wpial will make alot of noise at hershey.

Congrats Canon Mac, good to see Mike Hull wrestling again. Does anyone have any info on Connellsville vs Clearfield tonight? It should be almost over.

A note about the site. When a school shuts down because of weather, most won't allow events to be held there. According to Frank Vulcano, Fox Chapel was the only school that could, and would, hold the event. There were no other options.
